Another month bites the dust!!

Wow I know yet another month has past! they are well and truly disappearing. Since my last blog a few things have happened, firstly we still haven't heard from our visa but its been a month since Brenna has her medical so fingers crossed its not too much longer. Brenna and myself are playing the guessing game, Brenna says 4 weeks more I say 6, see who the closest.
The mountain has closed for downhill riding last week and we are now putting the trails to bed, fixing brake bumps adding more drainage all for the winter run off next year, I have a few more weeks left of work, not sure how much, whenever I want Im thinking.
Today we had a big garage sale made some money, but didnt sell all we had so take two next weekend, what we dont sell we will give away. This week we are also moving in with Brenna's mum and brother on the other side of town, this will not only save us some money but it will give us valuable time with them before we depart. It will be a full house but should be fun, or frustrating lol :)
the weather has definitely change towards autumn, its been raining for the past 2 weeks the trees are starting to change colour and fall to the ground, its becoming very pretty and lush.
Life with out a car between us is a tricky one, its easy for me as the guys I work with live pretty close and we always start at the same time, but for Brenna its a little harder. Everyone starts at different times and they live all over the valley making that much harder. This is also another reason we are moving, we will have access to two cars most of the time anyway.
We both are getting excited to see everyone and can't wait for the day we open the visa application and have it approved :)
Speak to you all soon. Enjoy the warming weather of spring see ya soon

I know what we did this summer!!

So far the summer has been a good one, plenty of sun and not aussie hot but warm. There are plenty of places to go swimming and tubing down the river is always popular. Brenna's mum has just brought a new place so in two weeks we help her move in. Each weekend we have done something in the sun below is a few pics of what we have been upto...

The Big Day Up @ Mt Washington, Aussie band The Cat Empire were the main feature!
Doing laps of Barbers hole
It took a while for me to warm up enough to jump in

You could say they weren't biting.

Happy Canada Day

Well its been another month and this weekend is Canada day very much the same as Aussie day but everything is red and white instead!! The mountain opened for mountain biking too. Its been a hard month at work with plenty of snow shovelling in some placed we were digging out 10ft of snow by hand and higher on the hill the machines were digging as deep as 20ft, and its ment to be summer. But now the snow is melting quickly so we are back on the rakes getting the runs dialed in. Its good to have 3 days off again each week it makes a weekend that much more enjoyable. Brenna and I have 2 of these day off together which is great too.
We still haven't heard back form our visa but it will be 3 months next week and the say allow 3 to 6 months for it to go through, so soon we we start to hound them!
A week and a half ago it was Brenna's 22nd birthday we had a quiet dinner with friends on the day and then a BBQ and the friday after. I think she enjoyed :)
With me all is good the collar bone can take shovelling all day which is awesome and most the time I forget it was broken only 3 months ago. Hope Andy's shoulder can get better soon too. Any way here are some pics taken on the 16th June up the hill, Fly is riding and Im there shovelling away.
The trail is somewhere around here!!
This one made the local newspaper!

where is the time going?

I cant believe it has been 2 weeks since Mum and Babs came to visit. We traveled just under 4000km in 2.5 weeks. Saw plenty of Canada could have seen more but we weren't aware that Canada closed! At times it made decisions easy but at times it was frustrating. There was so much more we could have seen but going non stop can take it out of you.
I know I had a fantastic time seeing placing I have only read about but we saw some amazing placed we never expected. We all agree kimberley was the highlight of the trip!
Since then I have been waiting to start work back at Mt Washington, thats tomorrow. My arm is getting better it takes a lot longer to get heavy, now Im even doing weights to regain the strength.
The week end just gone our good friends Danielle and Dave got married down in Victoria, just around the corner from Butchart gardens. Brenna was a brides made. It was a nice small wedding the only complaint was that the weather was thinking its autumn not spring, it was chilly but not wet! I think that when Mum and Babs were here we had the best weather during May, since they have left its been grey, and wet! It nearly reminds me of winter back home.
We saw 3 bears on our trip, but no moose! they don't exist
Butchart Gardens was stunning, so much colour

Now we are in Whistler, 130ks outside of Vancouver where some of the Olympics took place.
Today we drove from Kamloops going a scenic way. Sometimes we didn't think we were in Canada, where did the mountains go?? We did find them again eventually! We have also seen 2 bears in 2 days now, we were starting to wonder if they were making them up!!
