Back on the Mountain!

Well my first week as a trail crew member has been and gone and I had a gr8 3 day weekend, which will be a regular occurrence. In the new job we, Pete and I (pete is also our new house mate) got to ride around on our noble steeds pic below (thats pete too.) we also did plenty of raking and jump fixing, although we get to try them soon and that should be fun! The week went by so fast and here there was a heat wave 3 days above 31 degrees, no problem for me but Pete struggled because he has had 3 winters in a row and he is also a POM!!

When the week finished one of my bosses Tyler invited us out on his boat to do some fishing and chilling! it was a fantastic time and we even caught a 24 pound or 13kg Chinook Salon. That pic is below with a new friend Mark holding it. I was told it tasted very good once it was cooked on a cedar plank with brown sugar and garlic. We also has pizza on the boat in the bay with a few beverages also. we has a gorgeous  sunset, pic below once more. The weekend flew by also and once again the working week has started but its been a while and I was looking forward to going back. and to top it off on the way down the mountain I saw my very first wild black bear. He was a pretty big boy but he was too busy eating berries.  to look up even after smile im from Australia!! They also tell me he wont be the last one I see,, :)
