Hi every one I have finally made it to Comox.. I am currently sitting looking out the lounge room window over the water to Courtnay and the mountains.. To my left is a glacier, which has snow on top of it and its really a very pretty town. It not too busy very relaxed with nice people. Mum I think you would like it here
So far my trip has been great had a nice time in New Zealand, Arriving to Wellington was an other story, the palne was being thrown all over the shop!! Had a wind sheer warning so it took to attempts to land and my tummy didnt like that much comothion and I turned ghost white according to Brenna!!!
Driving to Auckland from Wellington was nice and relaxing, But when I got to the airport thats when the fun began, NOT!!! I ended up spending 12 hours at the airport because my plane has to get detoured to Tahati because of a meducal emergency, on its prior flight, not much I could do about that but lucky I had my laptop to keep me entertained!!! The flight to LA was a lot better than the one to Wellington only slept for less than 1 hour!! Those seats aint that comfy.. And I was a little bit excited about all of it. All in all I arrived into Canada about 7hours late!
When I arrive all went well through customs and Brenna was waiting with a smile as I walked out and just a little note its so much easier to enter Canada than the US!! As Brenna and her bro Grant said "Who wants to bomb Canada?"
Grant was nice enough to put up with me for the next 5 days while Brenna flew home the morning after I arrived!
Vancouver is a nice place and I have to admit that I love the squrels saw about 5 in a few days under the acorn trees nibbling nuts! I sat watching one for nearly 30 mins they are just so cute! I mite have to smuggle one home...
The Shops will take a little to get used to because firstly you need to add tax on top of everything, this sux when you only want to spend $20 I need to use the grey matter a bit but apart from that I love the sport shops, So much cheaper I nearly got a slingsot, Bow and Arrow set, a gidion ball, a Beebee gun and a paint ball gun, snowboard a kona bike and a kayak, Im like a kid in a candy shop because we cant get most of these cause they are illegal, suppose just more things ill need to smuggle back!! LOL
Vancouver is set in a very picturesque spot lovely views and Stanley Park was stunning with all the colour of the maples comong out.. Ill no doubt go back with brenna later and explore it some more.
Grant (Brenna's Bro) and I got along really well, most nights he got home from work at 12am then we would stay up till 4am just chatting, It was nice of him to put me up and it was greatly appriceatly.
On thurday I got up at 4 in the morning to catch the bus to Vancouver Island at 5.30, I arrive in Courtnay at 1020 then made my way to Comox which is only 7k down the road.. On the bus trip here I loved seeing the colour in the tree and all the houses built literalry on the water, they have no front yard, its the water!!!! And not to mention all the trucks (Utes on sterpods really) I want one!!! So I was able to meet Brenna's parents both are very nice and they seem to like me! Fhew!!! but what can I say who can resist my charm!!! Now Im living with to girls, Brenna and her mum as dad went iff to Mexico to escape the winter this morning..
So far the weather has been ok a few days with showers but nothing too bad and the temp of 14 in average so the cold weather is yet to hit me but between you and me I;m actually looking forward to it!!
