Well the end of the season is rapidly approaching, it concludes on the 6th April. I am still really enjoying the job and I have totally fallen in love with snow and will be absolutely lost when I don't get to ride everyday! So far I am upto 82 days of boarding and I will easily pass 100 for the season!! So what lies next?? A good question that one is I know for sure that I will be based in the Comox Valley with Brenna it is a stunning area surrounded with mountains on 3 sides and water on the other!! The summer should be gr8 plenty of activities to do, I want to get into kayaking maybe archery and I may even have to follow Andrew's lead and get back into Mt Biking as there are so many areas available to ride including Mt Washington which has some world class downhill riding! You never know I may even end up working up there again, I have already applied to be apart of lift maintenance, for the summer and if that doesn't work out I have had offers either as a lifty again or even a guide/instructor if I want to to a downhill instructors coarse to show/teach people how to have some serious fun! So the options are there for me. If all else fails I have a job lined up at sport mart where I got my first board, the owner remembers me and said he definitely has a job for me! Its a store similar to Rebel back home!
Other things I will be doing is going to Calgary in July for the Stampede which should be heaps of fun, I also want to go upto Edmonton in Alberta then down to Banff, Jasper thru the Rockies to Whistler and back along the coast to the Island. Cant wait for that trip should be stunning! Also I have plans on seeing the Orca's and going Grizzly and Eagle spotting. Although we are starting to see eagles soaring over the valley and they are HUGE!!
As you all know I will be turning 30 in 8 days!! OMG but I don't feel it and everyone here thinks in only 25 or 26 and nearly fall over when I tell them. I must look after myself, but I really should thank Mum and Dad for my fantastic genes!!
I know you all wish you could say Happy Birthday to me and I will thank you in advance :) For my birthday I'm planning on going to Cumberland pub and seeing Shane Phillip, he plays the digeridoo and has a unique sound for a Canadian!! I'll have a drink for you all!
Well thats me all up to date and I know its been about time! But I'm getting older and can't fit everything in that I want to do each day.
Take Care
