Wow in the past week we have got over 100cm of new snow and its only 3 weeks left in the season. Its meant to be sunny and easing off not meant to behind a shovel all day every day. The new snow has been some of the best if the season each new snow has been light and fluffy not heavy as concrete like normal, so on that note it has been awesome. The main lift line has had to be dug out so often because the snow has nearly been touching the chair!!! The base is now 2cm shy of 600!!!! You wont hear those types of numbers in Australia thats for sure and we are also the leading base in the world, even in Europe!!!
In the past month we the park crew have had 2 events one was an invitational after dark comp where the jump was a modest 60ft from take off to the landing. It was a great success everyone said it was one of the better comps and the skiers and boarder were throwing down some big tricks. The best skier and boarder both won a cheque for $1500, not bad for a few jumps!!!!
This week end it our next event were its the slopestyle, riders have a closed park and are scored on their trick on either rails of jumps. So this week after the resent snow we have changed up the park for a few fresh lines to spark some more creativity. And Im sure there will be a few photo opportunities seems it will be a blue bird day on saturday, my birthday if you had forgotten!!
