Hi everyone!:)
So it's been awhile since I last wrote on here! I know Dan's been meaning to sit down and update you all on everything but hasn't found the 'inspiration' to yet, so I decided to help him out:)
Well, since the last blog we've gone for a nice trip over to Vancouver to have a last visit with our good friends Brit and Nic, who as you know are now married. Still getting used to introducing them as 'husband & wife', but I suppose I will. We caught the ferry over on the Monday night, it was pitch black out so we didn't get to see the beautiful view on our ride over which was too bad as it's always nice. Tuesday we decided to hit up a place called 'Granville Island', it's not really an island, but it's a huge touristy/market place with tonz of little shops and markets. Really cool, we're thinking of going back another time just the two of us and actually do some shopping there. We also hit up a amusement park called 'Playland', that was so much fun! We went on a roller coaster that is 51 yrs old! It's definitely old and rickety and kind of scary! Of course there were lots of other fun rides, hellevator, corkscrew, bumpercars, etc, the usual:) All in all our visit with them was fun and it was nice to be able to see them one more time before they move over to Toronto.
My Dad came up for a visit last week, I usually see him all of two days a year, but this year I'm sure you all now Dan and I are heading down to Mexico in November for two weeks. Try our hand in the art of 'beachbum', one that my dad has nearly perfected. He's also going to teach us how to surf, should be interesting, I reckon I'll be really soar and both Dan and my dad will be laughing at me a lot. But I'm really looking forward to a break and a bit more traveling/adventure.
Well, here's a couple of photo's for you from our little walk through the 'waky woods' to break up this super long blog post.
I have to say that guy who built the 'wacky woods' is definitely wacky! Basically just a bunch of random pieces of 'artwork' in the middle of the woods, but it was interesting that's for sure.
After our visit with my Dad, Dan's Uncle Rich came up for a quick visit for the night from Victoria. Dan said it was weird having one of his own family member's here in Canada. They seemed to have a nice visit, caught up on their bike gossip, of course I don't really know half of what they're talking about, but I did traditional nod and smile:) We went out for dinner together, first time I've actually met Rich, so that was nice. All in all I think it was a good visit.
Well, this is starting to get pretty long and I should get going. Thinking of you all back there in Oz. I'll be seeing you by 2011. Take care.
